
Korba :– In a significant stride towards enhancing healthcare accessibility in the region, Ajeet Vasant, Collector and District Magistrate, Korba, inaugurated a Mobile Medical Unit on 7 October 2024. This initiative, a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project by NTPC Korba, aims to provide essential medical services to underserved communities.
The inauguration ceremony took place at the Collectorate of Korba, attended by distinguished guests including Rajeev Khanna, BUH, NTPC Korba; Vinod Kolhatkar, Chief Medical Officer of NTPC Korba Hospital; Shashi Shekhar, Head of Human Resources at NTPC Korba; and Shashank Chajjer, Senior Manager of CSR & R&R, alongside the dedicated CSR team from NTPC Korba.
Ajeet Vasant emphasized the importance of this initiative in bridging the gap in healthcare services, particularly for remote areas. He stated that access to quality healthcare is a fundamental right, and with the launch of the Mobile Medical Unit, we are taking a significant step towards ensuring that even the most isolated communities receive timely medical attention.
The Mobile Medical Unit is equipped with state-of-the-art medical facilities and will provide a range of services including general health check-ups, maternal and child healthcare, vaccinations, and health education. This initiative underscores NTPC Korba’s commitment to improving community well-being and fostering a healthier future.
Shashank Chajjer expressed gratitude to all stakeholders involved in making this project a reality. “We believe in the power of collaboration and are proud to contribute to the health and welfare of our community through this Mobile Medical Unit,” he said.
The CSR team at NTPC Korba will coordinate the unit’s operations, ensuring it reaches the most in-need populations regularly.
