KORBA :– The Senior Women’s Inter-District State Level Football Championship 2024-25 commenced today at the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Stadium, NTPC Korba Township.
The opening match featured a thrilling contest between DFA Balod and DFA Bilaspur, where DFA Balod emerged victorious with a commanding score of 6-0. The second match of the day saw DFA Bastar face DFA Bijapur, with DFA Bastar securing an impressive win of 8-0.
This championship will run from September 17 to September 21, 2024, featuring six teams competing for the top honours in the state women’s category.
As part of the tournament, 30 talented players will be selected for a coaching camp. From this group, the Chhattisgarh state football team will be formed to participate in the upcoming national event.
Organized in collaboration with the Chhattisgarh District Football Association, this event marks a significant milestone in NTPC Korba’s ongoing efforts to foster a culture of sports excellence and community engagement.
